Updated ASUS 1000HA Netbook On Sale For $300

Word is out that the recently released ASUS 1000HA netbook is available for $300 at ZipZoomfly with a mail-in rebate.
The ASUS netbook is a middle-of-the-line machine with a 10.2-inch screen, 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, 1 GB of RAM, a 160 GB HDD, Wi-Fi and Windows XP. You don’t get Bluetooth, but the netbook’s battery life is said to be a decent 4-5 hours.
However, the 1000HA here has been somewhat amended. While the previous ASUS netbook featured a strangely placed Shift key, the new keyboard is a chiclet-style adaptation and fixes the Shift key issue. According to PCWorld “BLK001X has the old keyboard” and “model BLK026X has the new keyboard.”
Other retailers put the ASUS 1000HA on sale for between $337 and $350, but that gets you the older version. Be sure to head over to ZipZoomfly for their deal, because it’s sure to expire soon.
