Sharp Mebius Netbook Released in Japan with LCD Trackpad

Sharp ’s newest Mebius PC-NJ70A netbook comes with something unique – a trackpad that doubles as an LCD display! This trackpad allows users to adjust screen brightness and browse and run applications. The technical specifications of the NJ170A netbook include a 10.1-inch display with 1024×600 resolution, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160 GB hard drive, 3 USB ports, wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, and a memory card reader.

It is uncertain when or even if this netbook will be released in the United States, but it’s rumored to be selling in Japan for 80,000 yen, roughly $800 (U.S. Dollars)…quite the price tag for a netbook!
