The 4.8-inch uSmart WVGA M1C MID – Like A Netbook For Kids

While we’ve featured a lot of tiny devices on NetbookBoards, a lot of them don’t really look like netbooks. The new 4.8-inch uSmart WVGA M1C MID, recently spotted at the Hong Kong Electronics fair, seems to be the exception.

The new MID packs a CPU from the Intel Z-series – the Z330 – as well as GMA500 graphics and, curiously enough, HDMI output. It weighs only 0.5 kg and looks to have a frighteningly small keyboard, with a multitude of strange looking controls cluttering the interface.

OS choices include Linux, XP, Vista, and Windows 7. There’s no word of a distributor or price range so far, but we’ll be there when there is.
