Psystar Settles With Apple But Won’t Shut Down Permanently
- 0 Comments

Following legal battles over Psystar’s illegal use of Apple’s Mac OS X, word has it that the company will not be shutting down permanently, contrary to previous reports.
The company reached a partial settlement with Apple earlier this month. Psystar agreed to pay Apple $2.7 million in damages. The court also found a permanent injunction against the company which banned it from selling hardware running versions of Apple’s OS. However, the court did not specifically ban Psystar from selling Rebel EFI, an application that lets Intel-powered PCs run Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard.
