Apple Is High in Customer Service Survey

Apple has been ranked third in BusinessWeek’s annual customer service survey. The only two companies that bested it were L.L. Bean and the banking company USAA. The nearest Apple competitor, Dell, ranked twenty places below Apple.

Apple earned high scores in quality of staff and efficiency of service. The Genius Bar was another favorite with customers, along with its new roving check-out system. The overall score Apple received increased by about ten percent from its 2009 score. The information in the survey was compiled from a market research firm and material from BusinessWeek readers.

Apple’s customer service has always been one of my favorite things about the company. When I had problems with my Dell computer, I felt that the customer service really did not care about solving my problems. By contrast, Apple has always successfully solved my computer problems while actually seeming to care. As this survey has shown, few companies can beat Apple’s customer service.
