Prolink Announces Glee TA-009 Netbook

Netbooks are becoming so popular that companies that wouldn’t normally manufacture them are starting to. One of the latest companies to adopt this trend is Prolink, a company that is known for manufacturing networking hardware.

Recently, Prolink came out with the Glee TA-009 netbook. This device is pretty typical of a netbook, with a 10.1″ screen, a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, an Intel 950 integrated graphics chipset, 1 GB of RAM, a 160 GB hard drive, and a 3-celled battery. The netbook also has an internal HSUPA modem.

The Glee will sell for roughly S$699 (US$467.78), making it the cheapest¬† WWAN-enabled netbook on the market. It’s currently available in Asia. Think it will make it to the US sometime soon?
